VLOG: USA vs Japan Match Point

Last night, we went to the first ever (and will there be another?) USA Women's Volleyball Cup match against Team Japan. It was actually a really cool experience, especially since every single person in the UC San Diego gym was obsessed with volleyball. That was the first time I'd ever seen such a large group of American fans excited about and in tune with everything that was going on in the match!

Maybe there is hope for a layered system of volleyball leagues in America someday like we have in European countries, but until then, we won't mind staying in France!

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

Our women's national team beat Japan 3-1, in four very close sets. A ton of great volleyball, but also a ton of really bad missed serves by our team! WHY?! The court is still bigger than my last two apartments!

The good news is there are still two more matches to be played in SoCal, on July 12 and 13. I definitely recommend going, if you're available. Or if you're busy, CANCEL! When was the last time you saw Olympic volleyball level competition in person?

You know you want to!

You can even watch the entire match from last night on that link also!

Supposedly, there will be men's national team cup matches in August, too, so keep checking the above link later this month!
