Round 2 of Iberian Insanity will be taking place . . . this Christmas!
Marc and I are traveling together to Madrid, Granada, and Málaga for 10 December days!
I guess Iberian Insanity ended up being way more insane than I ever thought it would be - mainly because it's going to take me at least 2 years to get through my original plans/goals.
Right now, here's the basic agenda for this 2014 Christmas adventure.
Madrid - 6 days
-Great food!
-Royal palace, Temple de Debod, Plaza Mayor, Retiro Park, the Prado
-Day trip to Segovia (cathedral, castle, Roman aqueduct)
-Day trip to Toledo (Muslim, Jewish & Christian histories, UNESCO center) & Aranjuez (castle)
-Day trip to El Escorial (monastery, royal palace) & Valley of the Fallen (Spanish Civil War monument)
Granada - 2 days
-The Alhambra
-2nd largest cathedral in Spain
-Royal Chapel
-The wine shop our AirBnB host runs
Málaga - 2 days
-Warm weather
-Hammam Al-Andalus Arab Baths
We'll be coming back to France just in time to enjoy the New Year festivities! We're hoping the relaxing time at the baths will prep us for the return travel and sleep deprivation to follow.
I'm just glad that this time around, I have a much more reliable and efficient iPhone 4 camera to accompany me.
